What inspired you to start writing?
Oh, this is such a fun story! My biggest inspirations? Definitely my parents—and my sister. She’s been spinning stories since we were kids, and I’ve watched her work so hard at this for years. When my nest suddenly emptied, my mom started with the classic, “Why don’t you give it a shot?” And my sister? She swooped in like a fairy bookmother, answering every question and making sure I didn’t flounder. She’s seriously amazing! But as for who she is… well, let’s just say she’s a bit of a mysterious literary secret. No spoilers here! 😉
Can you share a brief summary of your latest book?
Oh boy, which book? That’s like asking me to pick my favorite dessert—impossible! I’m always knee-deep in a new story, juggling outlines, scribbling down swoony moments, or daydreaming about my next grumpy-sunshine couple. Right now, I’m tangled up in a story about a hockey goalie who has to get married thanks to a wild contract clause (because, of course, we’ve gotta keep it fun and drama is my love language). But let’s be real—I’m already side-eyeing my preorder deadlines while secretly plotting my next book. Sleep? Never met her. 💕
Do you have a favorite character you’ve written? If so, tell us about them!
Oh wow, picking a favorite character is like trying to choose my favorite dessert—impossible! But okay, let’s see… Alpo and Glory are just so head-over-heels in love, it makes my heart do little flips. Then there’s Mallory and Paradox, who bicker like pros but can’t help falling for each other—swoon! And Copperhead? That man literally saves the day for the woman he’s secretly been in love with for years (cue the dreamy sigh). Oh! And Ricochet, who marries a complete stranger like some gallant knight on a mission to rescue just one lost soul? Be still my heart. And Sparky’s singing? Don’t even get me started. You know what? Let’s just say my Flyboys have completely stolen my heart—and I’m not asking for it back! 💕
Writing Process & Inspiration
Where do you find inspiration for your stories?
Music. I listen to music and daydream all the time. I don’t watch much television at all.
Do you have a writing routine or any habits that help you stay creative?
Every time I hop in the car, it’s like stepping into my own little romance-writing bubble! With music blasting, I’m daydreaming up swoon-worthy moments, dramatic showdowns, and all the heart-fluttering feels. My phone is packed with random notes, and I’m always stealing little bits of real life—because you never know when that cute coffee shop meet-cute or hilarious wrong-number text might spark the perfect scene!
What’s your favorite part of the writing process?
The way it makes me feel. I get to fall in love over and over again…
Are there any authors who have influenced your writing style?
Oh, where do I even start?! It’s like trying to pick my favorite candy at the store—so many delicious choices! 💖
